Mary has extensive experience coaching plays of heightened language, particularly Shakespeare, but also Churchill, Fugard, Hellman, Kushner, Stoppard, Wilde, Wilson, etc. as well as original and contemporary plays.
Collaborative Philosophy
Mary’s goals as production coach are to serve the production and the director’s vision by helping actors toward a deeply expressive, varied and healthy voice use, clear and sustainable over the run of the play.
When invited to, Mary will work to illuminate text by collaborating closely with directors and actors to help actors fully understand, own, and release dramatic language, as though it were being spoken for the first time.
